Businessman, Mark Hamilton, Announces Campaign Launch for State House District 23
Cumming, GA (March 22, 2005) -- Mark Hamilton, a Forsyth County resident and businessman, announced today that he will seek the Republican nomination for Georgia House District 23, covering much of Forsyth County and the eastern portion of Cherokee County.
“I have been honored to participate in many areas of the community and contribute my time to worthy civic duties and responsibilities in North Georgia since moving to the area more than ten years ago,” Hamilton said. “I look forward to taking those duties and responsibilities to a higher level representing Forsyth and Cherokee counties in the State House in the next election. With the announcement by Representative Jack Murphy that he is now seeking the Senate District 27 office, many friends and neighbors in Forsyth and Cherokee counties have encouraged me to run for the State House. I am honored by their confidence and support and extremely excited to make this announcement.”
“For the past several years, I have worked for common sense solutions to the many opportunities we have in our area to improve transportation, education, and economic development,” Hamilton added “In the Republican State House, the residents of Forsyth and Cherokee counties need experienced leadership who can deliver on the issues that matter most. With my life, business, community and leadership experience, I am confident I am the best candidate to provide that kind of effective leadership. That is why I am proud to announce my decision to run for the State House District 23 seat.”
Hamilton, a 1978 graduate of Texas A & I University in Business Engineering, is the Founder, President & CEO of H & H Staffing Services and AppliedWisdom LLC.
